Product Description

Tamari is made with more soybeans than ordinary soy sauce. It is a sauce made entirely from fermented soya beans — and, wheat-free. It is slightly thicker and darker in colour and has a richer, better-rounded flavour than soya. In Japan, Tamari is often used specifically in dressings and sauces to add umami depth. It gives roasted almonds a wonderful salty savouriness. Tamari adds depth of flavour to marinades for grilled flank steak or glazes for chicken wings and is superb in stir-fries.
